I get my stories from my life experiences and frankly, everywhere. I have a vivid imagination because when I was young, I was encouraged to play and pretend. I was mesmerized by stories my parents, aunts and uncles, and our neighbors used to tell. I think those who have a love of writing are full of ideas for stories. I find when I take the time to meditate and ponder, story ideas come flooding into my mind. As a mental exercise, I once sat down at the computer and decided to write as many story ideas as I could in twenty minutes. I ended up with 44. Of course, not all of them were quality ideas, but out of those ideas two more books were written.
