For me, the most fun about being a writer is to write—to develop characters and a story, and then know the reader is going to go on that journey with the characters.

What’s not fun for me, and I imagine for most writers, is having your stories rejected. It is something all writers have in common, every one of us has been rejected at some point. Time flies when you write, but when you are waiting for a response from a publisher, time stands still.

Being a writer, you spent so much of your time alone. Next time you see a writer, give them a hug. I think that should be on a tee-shirt or maybe on a mug, don’t’ you think?
